Much of my work in recent years has been concerned with my birthplace. A once utopic country now ruined by a dictatorship. The frustration of watching the Zimbabwean people suffer at the hands of a corrupt government, families being torn apart & so many not being able to go back home, is at the heart of my 'Zimbabwe Series'.

Cultural identity and belonging are also a focus within my work, being central to my upbringing in Africa. My work often calls into question cultural stereotypes and preconceived notions of belonging. Africa’s diverse beauty and rich heritage are a powerful source of inspiration. My recent work has included screen prints of traditional African imagery on traditional English prints such as wallpapers, fabrics and lace curtains. I hope to engage an audience by immersing them into a fusion of cultures and challenging further debate on identities and what it means to "belong".

The natural world also holds great fascination for me. Trees, bark, seeds, pods and the tiny close-up details in nature are a source of endless inspiration.
